Retail Data Systems of Kansas has an immediate opening for a full time IT / computer / point of sale help desk support technician in our Wichita office. Retail Data Systems was founded in 1950 and is the largest independent point of sale dealer in North America with 25 offices.
Prospective employees must be self motivated and have a desire to learn. Outgoing personality preferred. Technician will deal direct with businesses and NOT home users.
Basic job responsibilities include the following:
*Responding quickly to customers.
*Quick response to dispatched calls.
*Computer & Network troubleshooting.
*Training and support of proprietary software.
Requirements for employment:
*Learn quickly and perform well under pressure.
*Ability to work independently yet within company guidelines.
*High level of integrity, confidentiality and professional maturity.
*Must be open to flexible schedule/hours.
*On call rotation after appropriate training.
*Travel is required.
*Must be able to pass a background check.
*Previous experience in the food service industry or a related technology field strongly preferred.
*Bilingual prospects are encouraged to apply.
*Experience with the Aloha restaurant POS system is a plus.
