This a smaller version of those great big buffers you see professional janitors use. It could be used in an industrial setting, but it's designed for household use where you have a tile or other hard floor. It has only been used in one house, so its mileage is still low.

I do not have any of the assorted pads and brushes for different surfaces. They are available online, cheap. So is the whole unit, for over $600, expensive.
