This is truly a one of a kind BARN FIND! If you're familiar with Royal Enfield, then you know that for a brief period of time, the Royal Enfield line of Indian motorcycles was labeled simply "Enfield". This is a rare gem built during this tough financial period in the Royal Enfield history. This bike, in fact, was NEVER imported into the U.S. for sale. Somehow, this bike made its way to the States (probably via some military transport) and ended up in storage where it remained until recently. There are probably less than a handful of this model in the States today. I doubt you'll ever see another like it, and certainly not in this condition after 24 years!
This bike had been tinkered with by the previous owner. Instead of rebuilding the carburetor, he simply replaced it with a Mikuni model. He also removed the air box assembly and replaced it with a more efficient air filter. All 4 signal lights were also changed to smaller aftermarket assemblies.
The bike did not run when I purchased it. Innovative Cyclesports cleaned the carb, replaced the spark plug, and tuned up the bike. It runs like new.
The bike's overall condition is spectacular. With only 304 miles on the odometer, this bike looks like it was put in a time capsule. Paint is probably a 9/10 if not better. Chrome was polished with 0000 steel wool and shines like new. The tires (tyres) are AVON SPEEDMASTER MKII tires and are stamped "Made In England". They show no sign of weathering and are still in excellent condition. This bike was built without electric start, so in true British motorcycle fashion, you've got to kick-start this baby to make her thump. I've sourced an original carburetor for the Bullet as well as R/E mirrors and the airbox assembly as well. 4 R/E turn signals have also been ordered. They should arrive any day. All of this equipment comes with the bike.
Own a one-of-a-kind motorcycle that not only looks extraordinary, but sounds like no other. R/E's single cylinder sound is the most unique sound you'll hear, I guarantee! I'm open to cash offers, but please consider the rarity of this bike. May trade for a bumper pull camper / trailer. Also open to considering a teardrop version like the T@B or R-Pod trailers. Interesting trades welcome, but let's keep things apple to apple as far as value. I'm limited on the amount of cash I have to "trade up", so keep that in mind. The last 4 pictures were where it was being stored and worked on after it's discovery just prior to my purchase.
